All the Duke I Need (No-Spoiler NetGalley review)

All the Duke I Need (Desperately Seeking Duke 3) Caroline Linden Stars:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ (He's a sexy pirate; she's a brown woman--representation matters ) Heat rating:    🔥🔥🔥 This is a great book. You really should read the two previous books before you delve into this one, because there is a lot of background in those two. Plus, those books are fun (especially the first one, About a Rogue—I couldn’t put it down). And this one blows those two out of the water. It is a 5+ star book and you will love it. I promise you. Caroline Linden has a way of making you fall in love with a character in such a subtle manner. You don’t even know you’ve developed feelings for that character until there comes a point where it hits you and opens your eyes. That’s a lot of fun! This books wraps up the series, and I could not be more delighted at the ending, which was worthy of a series that I’ve enjoyed. Will—oh, how I love Will, who is described as looking like a pirate, “rakishly, devilishly...

Bell's Duke Most Wicked (NO-SPOILER NETGALLEY REVIEW)

Duke Most Wicked Lenora Bell Stars:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ½ (GAMING HELL; status discrepancy; strong, smart women; made me sing 80’s songs ) Heat rating:    🔥🔥🔥🔥 Cover Rating: The cover is FIRE. The red and gold, PLUS THE PIANO (don’t think I missed that) made me do a triple take. Also, the female model looks very much like I imagined Viola would look. But oh, the male model is perfect—West is described as having the face of a fallen angel, and this captures him. That cover gets a shiny gold A . This is the third book in the Wallflowers vs. Rogues series (which is definitely in the running for best series title). Now, I’d read several Lenora Bell books before (including the Disgraceful Dukes series and the School for Dukes series , which is related to this one), but not the books in this series. What to do? I don’t think it is in your best interest to review books if you haven’t read the previous books in the series (and any connected series, actually), so I grabbed t...

Ayers' Chasing the Earl (NO SPOILER ARC REVIEW)

Chasing the Earl * Kathleen Ayers Stars:  ⭐⭐⭐ ½   ( Couple at odds; hot hero who is not perfect; skunks ) Heat rating:    🔥🔥🔥 Cover Rating: The cover is fine. I would give it a B. There’s nothing to make me sit up and applaud, but the elements are pleasing to the eye. I definitely imagined Emmie being more angular and definitely not dressed like that. But it’s attractive.   So, MAR loves Kathleen Ayers and has read most of her works, including The Beautiful Barringtons series (which she loved) and The Wickeds series (also loved). This is the second book in the new series, the Arrogant Earls series (isn’t that the best series name?). Our H and h are Henry Eldrick, Earl of Huntly and Emmagene Stitch. So, Huntly. I ain’t gonna lie; I have had a bit of a tendre for him since I read the previous book, Forgetting the Earl . I don’t know why because he actually sounds loathsome. Not his appearance, of course, but he really just seems like a sarcastic, ...
